I counsel clients in all
phases of real estate including the acquisition, exchange, development,
disposition, financing, and utilization of commercial, industrial
and residential real property. My experience includes acquisitions
and development of regional shopping centers, local and neighborhood
shopping centers, industrial, commercial and apartment buildings;
negotiation of interim and permanent financing for such acquisition
and development; the preparation and use of standard lease forms
for the benefit of either lessor or lessee of shopping center,
industrial and commercial property; the acquisition of unimproved
property to be developed for single-family, multi-family, industrial
or commercial usage; subdivision of such unimproved property,
including the preparation of covenants, conditions, restrictions
and reservations to be recorded as separate documents or as
part of the subdivision map; and representing clients concerning
various types of land use matters.
I have considerable expertise
in applying advantageous tax planning techniques in the negotiation
of real estate transactions and the preparation of the necessary
supporting legal documentation.
I am also experienced in
the negotiation and preparation of complex leases and the speedy
resolution of landlord/tenant disputes.
For many years I have taught
real property law at a law school.
